I'm so excited to escape muggy NYC for Kenya.
Tonight I took my last subway ride for two weeks. I am always reluctant to complain about my beloved NYC, but recent subway trips have been miserable, to be honest. If temperatures above ground are 90+ and humid, temperatures on subway platforms easily exceed 100 degrees. Each work day, I arrive at the office feeling and surely looking somewhat wilted.
But it's winter in the Southern Hemisphere. Hooray!
What does that mean for my trip? Highs of 75 or 80, overnight lows in the 50s. In other words, my kind of place.
